Wow.. This book is a little wierd, but for some strange reason I happen to like it. I am a fan of comic books and such. I like the fact that Jimmy Burns is a very dominant and open character. I also like the fact that he is labeled as the "hero on Grand Street". He seems to be bothered about the war and his experiences. The news lady couldn't relate to Jimmy and what he has been through making him feel worthless and not of importance so she kind of became frustrating to me. I am sure this book is going to be interesting. I am looking foward to reading the rest. It is also interesting how the book is dated in the year 2011 and that John McCain is unfortunatly the President. I feel like the book is a written form of our governments future, which is scary. I am just wondering why he decides to make a terrorist bombing attack in a Starbucks in Brooklyn.????
